Recently finishing C disk, found that C disk has a lot of "unable to move the file" (green part), it is strange, I have to "virtual memory," The paging file size is set to no paging file and restarted the machine.
So in Tools-Folder Options-view, the settings display all of the hidden files.
Found that there is a Hiberfil.sys file, 1.78G size, online a check:
There will be a Hiberfil.sys file in the root directory of the system area, which is the same size as the memory capacity, what is this file?
It turns out that this is a file of the hard disk space occupied by the system's Hibernate function (the Windows default hibernation feature is turned on), when the computer is in hibernation, everything in memory will be saved to the hard disk, and the computer will be shut down.
After the computer is turned back on, all programs and documents that are open when you shut down the computer are restored to the desktop.
That is, when you put your computer into hibernation, Windows writes all the memory content to the Hiberfil.sys file before shutting down the system.
Then, when you turn the computer back on, the operating system uses Hiberfil.sys to put all the information back into memory, and the computer returns to its state before it shuts down.
However, Windows left a Hiberfil.sys file on the hard drive, even if the file was no longer needed.
So it is! and is not limited to XP or NT.
Now I know how to solve this problem ...
