Cygwin is a good tool. It can be used in a Linux environment running in windows. It is a compromise when integrating eclipse development. You may also encounter some problems.
1. Installation: many tools are not installed by default during installation, such as VI and SSH. You need to select the Installation tool.
2. path, in the cygwin format, for example, replacing "D: \ cygwin" with "/cygdrive/D/cygwiw". If the directory contains spaces, problems may occur, the path in the cygdrive format is not used as an example. You can experiment with it yourself.
1. When my JDK path is "/cygdrive/D/program files/Java/jdk1.6.0 _ 27" and the JDK global variable is set under cygwin, the path cannot be identified by setting as follows:
Export java_home =/cygdrive/D/program files/Java/jdk1.6.0 _ 27
It can be identified if it is circled with double quotation marks:
Export java_home = "/cygdrive/D/program files/Java/jdk1.6.0 _ 27"
2, I in the configuration of hadoop hadoop-env.sh to add java_home, using the above format will still report an error, which surprised me, in line with the premise of not changing the directory, using another way:
Establish a soft connection first
Ln-s "/cygdrive/D/program files/Java/jdk1.6.0 _ 27"
/Usr/local/jdk1.6.0 _ 27
Then in add to hadoop-env.sh
Export java_home =/usr/local/jdk1.6.0 _ 27
Iii. User. Currently, cygwin can only be used for Windows login users, but cannot be added using adduser
