Source: Internet

When updating the GIT version, no backup deleted the original version, after installing the new version of 2.18.0, using the command line git--version, returned the error git not a developer tool or in PATH.

Solution to the problem:

1. Enter which git on the command line, the path returned is Usr/bin/git, not in the Echo $PATH;

2. Determine the cause, no path added, the current installation path is Usr/local/git, as long as the path is added to the system path is OK;

3.CD ~, enter Usr/bin, vim. Bash_profile

Add the following two lines

Export Git=/usr/local/git

Export path= $GIT/bin: $PATH

Exit, save.

tada~, and then enter Git--version, the normal output version number
