after creating a product model and compiling the product model, you can use the product model in your daily work.
This chapter describes the product configuration process and how to obtain the configuration product and product model information, including:
1. select and approve the product configuration in the product configuration form.
2. set configuration parameters.
3. reuse BOM and process routes.

Configure the product
You can configure the product from the following features:
1. sales order
2. purchase order
3. production Order
4. sales quotation
5. project quote
6. product requirements
for sales orders, purchase orders, and quotations, product configuration is enabled through the configuration line function.
the operation path is as follows:
sales order:
Accounts Receivable> sales order line> Configuration line
purchase order:
Accounts payable-> purchase order line-> Configuration line
sales quotation sheet:
receivables-> sales quotation sheet line-> Configuration line
project quotation sheet:
Project-> Project quote line-> Configuration line
note that the above functions are available only when the button corresponding to the main file is advanced.
production order
production-> production order, new record. In the displayed form, if you select a material with model enabled, the configuration button appears:

material requirement
Project-> query-> material task-> material requirement-> function (button)-> Configuration line
after the configuration process is started, the configuration form is generated based on the settings of the product model, including
modeling variables, variable groups, user configuration file groups, and verification rules
enter configuration data in the product builder configuration form, click OK to traverse the modeling tree and create a BOM and/or process route for the configured product.
A bomid and routeid are appended to the configuration line.
for quotations, sales orders, and material requirements, bomid and routeid will appear in other tabs: BOM/process route group lower-level BOM and lower-level routing
when you configure the item, the default production model is the product model associated with the product and takes effect in the product model. For sales orders, quotations, and material requirements, you can select another tab item list/route group. Of course, you must select the product model associated with the product.
review configuration
after entering necessary data and clicking OK, the review form is displayed. The price and delivery date can be calculated in this form.
If the product generator is not selected-> Settings-> parameter settings-> sales price calculation, the system automatically calculates the sales price based on the sales price combination, this price will appear in the configuration form, and you do not need to review the configuration form before calculation. Of course, even if this option is selected, if you select the product generator> Settings> parameter settings> review> auto price calculation, when you enter the review configuration form, the sales price is automatically calculated instead of manually clicking the calculate sales price button.
product builder-> Settings-> parameter settings-> review-> display all variables. This parameter needs to be explained. For help with this field, Chinese translation is easy to misunderstand:
English:

This translation is incorrect. If you have used it, the system will know it. This sentence should be translated:
all variables are displayed in the audit dialog box during configuration.
we know that there are several types of variables when the product model defines variables.

If the type of a variable is hidden, the variable is not displayed in the product configuration form. However, if you need to view the variable value during review, you can select the product generator> Settings> parameter settings> review> display all variables. This parameter means that all variables are displayed in the review form.
if you find that some Chinese interpretations are confused during the use of ax, you need to switch to the English interface to see the English, because the people who translate these texts may not have used the system, it may be a literal translation, but it is similar to the system.
set automatic and essential configurations
In addition to automatic configuration for calculating the sales price and delivery date, you can also configure mandatory and manual product configurations, automatic or semi-automatic.

If You Want To automatically start the configuration form, you can select the automatic start configuration. In this way, when a configurable product is selected in the order or quotation line and saved, the configuration form is displayed automatically without clicking the configuration line.
If the hidden dialog box is selected, the configuration form will not appear, and the system automatically completes the configuration process. Of course, you must first assign an initial value to the variable that appears in the configuration form, however, you can view the configuration details through the review form.
If the hidden review dialog box is selected, the review form does not appear.
required configuration. You must configure this product before saving the row. This is mutually exclusive with the automatic start configuration. It is easy to understand. If the automatic start configuration is used, it will certainly be configured.
I personally feel that the above functions are not very useful. I may not consider the corresponding scenarios.

In addition, you can only configure the order line or quotation line when it is in the initial state. Once the status changes or the corresponding production order has started, you cannot configure this line.
View configuration details
you can print the product configuration details at all stages of sales or procurement. The following describes how to configure a ticket for a sales order.
1. set the document type generated during product configuration
the operation path is as follows:
product builder-> Settings-> parameter settings-> User dialog box-> Generate document type
If the generated document type is not selected no documentation will be generated when you configure the product.
2. set the parameters of the accounts receivable module.
operation path:
Accounts receivable-> Settings-> table settings-> confirmation form-> Notes

the first parameter indicates where to include comments when printing the confirmation form. According to the instructions in the tutorial, You must select all of the items, the product configuration information is printed only when the confirmation form is printed. In fact, this is not because the product information is displayed on the line, so you can select the line or all of the lines to print the information.
the second parameter indicates the type of comment that should be included when the confirmation form is printed. This field can only be of the document type in the comment group.
3. print the confirmation form

if a document type is selected in step 1, and the first parameter in step 2 Selects all rows and the latter, the second parameter does not select any document type or is the same as the type selected in step 1. All information about the configuration item is printed.
