In this chapter, I will explain why Office Web Components will be developed, what they are, and where you can use them. I will also provide you with some preliminary comments on using these components in commercial solutions. The second part of this book provides some common and practical usage of these components, it also gives you a step-by-step understanding of the various technologies used in these solutions.
