After importing a MAVEN project, we found a following error:

Project configuration is not a up-to-date with pom.xml. Run Project Configuration Update

Workaround 1:

Older versions of Eclipse:

Right--"maven"--"Update Project Configuration ..." will open a dialog box (update Maven Dependencies), then tick the wrong item and click OK to get it done.

Compare new versions of Eclipse

On the project right--"Maven"--"Update project" opens an open dialog box that has the wrong item selected, click OK to get it done.

Workaround 2:

In Window-> prefrence, open the problems view, right-click the related errors in problems, and click Quick Fix to fix it.
