Project, management, and organization vulnerabilities exposed during a competition

Today is the end date of the information security competition preliminary round. It has been nearly a month since preparation. It was the first time that the competition was held, here are some experiences and lessons learned from management, organization, and project implementation.

1. Project implementation is always oriented to customer needs.

The most common saying in business is that "the customer is God". Now it seems to be true. I developed the background Answer System for this information security competition. The community started to hold activities on March 13, late April, and is about to officially start the competition on April 9, May 12. After a few days of my work, I tested it myself and handed it over to the boss of the community without any major bugs. Finally, I waited until the competition. When the competition was over, we found that the original system was too simple. multiple choice questions, empty-filling questions, and short-answer questions were all interface-based answer methods, and even worse, there were multiple answers in the question. In fact, there is nothing to do with multiple-choice questions. When matching in the background, trim is used to remove the Left and Right spaces, and then case-insensitive. Finally, it matches the same encoding as the answer to the question, so there is no bug, however, the results of the competition are: They input "A, B" or "a B", and the results can be imagined. The next day, I wrote a notice telling them to answer multiple questions and fill in the answer. The result is the same as that of not writing ~~~

 

 

In fact, the general reason for such a problem is that I am a "Heap" person who has not made a good analysis of the demand. This problem should have been based on a sufficient customer demand analysis, then, the internal and public beta of many people can be used out. This is a good time. The first competition gave you an unprofessional impression on a few fans. The next time I come up with a system, I won't show you anything else!

 

2. Activities are for fun, not for "experience" Life.

This competition is the first information security competition organized by the Information Security Association for the whole school. Although it was the first time and there were not many people, students are relatively interested in information security. The question was officially opened at eight o'clock A.M. yesterday. I guess every contestant saw that this question was rejected-160 questions !!!! 150 choices and 10 left-in-the-blank operation questions. I was wondering who would do this? Who will answer this question?

Sorry for the contestants. You really cannot afford to hurt ~~~~

Activities and competitions are originally intended for everyone's interests and hobbies. If you answer these bloated questions, I believe few people will take a look at the organizers !! This is also a taboo for commercial activities!

3. The question is for the average person, not for the animals and talents.

The questions of this competition are divided into basic questions, attack questions, defense questions, English questions, and practical operation questions. They are said to have been moved from the Internet and processed. The quality of this question is slightly evident! Only the last 10 questions are the ten questions written by the Association, which is relatively quality. After opening the question, I also thought about these questions and watched them very well. But I'm glad that I didn't participate in this competition. Otherwise, I will die very badly ~~~~

First of all, there is a classic "the anti-virus software currently used by Chery Limited is" in the basic question. I want to cry ~~

Secondly, because no organizer proofreads the question, there is something that many contestants do not know. First, the question is not specified, second, I did not consider specifying the option format for multiple answers. This is a mess!

Finally, I was even more discouraged when I looked at the Ten Operational Questions with quality. There were ten questions in total, three or four questions were difficult to find, and one or two people were hard at the same time, in addition, there is a question that the fourth-level magic party decrypts and provides the ciphertext. The result is not given to the magic party. Eldest Brother, there are 880 fourth-level magic parties. I have another comparison ???

Is this a game? Do you have any revenge for the competition ?! Do you want them to die hard, or do you want them to be exhausted? Is this activity interesting? Is it meaningful for the Community to host this activity ?? Yes, very disgusted, a marketing failure!

4. How many people are familiar with the competition procedure?

The Community was held in February last December by a group of seven people who participated in the Hangzhou-Hangzhou Information Security competition for their interests and interests. The community was originally a junior, and no one had time and the time was not ripe, we can't recruit new people, so we can only rely on seven of us and two sophomore students. In fact, this semester is busy for us. Some of us need to take the ccnp test, CCIE test, soft test, Level 6 test, rhce test, and ACM test, who has time to engage in this community? I have never been above myself. Why is my junior year so passionate?

The rules for this competition are set at any time. At the beginning, no one knows how many finals they will be in, and when and how they will be in the finals, no one may even know about the competition. That's a mess.

It was originally closed at 10:02 tonight, but it was closed at. As a result, an accident occurred. Here, one of the opponents surpassed the other team, which directly led to the fact that the opponents could not enter the finals. Of course they don't do it. After the quarrel, they decided to advance. Is this a server issue?ProgramQuestion? I don't think so. It should be a problem of ineffective organizational management.

5. Time is not as good as time, and time is not as good as people

I will not explain it here. There are only two sentences: unity is power, and unity is more equal to morality!

6. Managers must have a high EQ
