Protect online privacy and do not leave secrets on the Internet

When we access the Internet, we may use an email box, which will leave an account; some websites may be accessed, which will leave internet information; and some e-commerce websites may be logged on, the account and password will be stored in the system by default ...... In this way, once your computer is intruded, the information may be exposed to hackers without reservation. Therefore, we must not keep these secrets.

1. Clear IE cache records

To speed up Internet browsing, IE will save the recently browsed website content in the cache so that data can be directly read from the cache when the website is accessed again. Although this accelerates browsing speed, it has hidden security risks.

In this regard, we can open the "Tools" menu of the browser and select the "Internet Options" command, in the "General" tab of the window that appears, click the "delete file" button in the "temporary files on the Internet" area to bring up an inquiry window, select the "delete all offline content" check box and click OK to delete all files.

Ii. Clear Cookies

Cookies are used to provide website tracking users and store website IP addresses and user names. It is automatically generated after we access the website and saved in the Cookies directory of the installation directory. Therefore, we only need to open the partition where the system is located, then enter the WINDOWSsystem32configsystemprofile folder, and delete all the files.

Iii. Delete historical records

The History folder records the website content that has been viewed in the recent period. If it is a Win2000 system, the accessed folder is recorded. In this way, you can understand the operations you have accessed over a period of time. Therefore, before leaving the computer, you must completely delete these records to ensure the security of personal privacy. Open IE, run the "tool-Internet Options" command, and click "Clear history" in the "General" tab.

Iv. Clear password records

You are required to enter a password when you log on to your email address and perform various registration operations online. Sometimes, for convenience, the automatic completion function of the system is often used. The system will remember your password and will automatically enter the password the next time you enter the same user name. It would be too dangerous if we didn't clear the password when we quit the system.

In order not to let the Danger exist, remind you to clear it. Open IE, execute the "tool-Internet Options" command, and then click "auto complete" in the "content" tab, here, you can delete all records by clearing the "clear form" and "Clear password" under "automatically completed history.

5. Restore the color of the accessed IE Address

Internet Explorer and WEB page designers generally set the unaccessed and accessed links on the page to different colors, although this is to facilitate user browsing, however, it may inadvertently expose your browsing footprint. However, the following method can be used to eliminate this color change.

Open the Internet option settings window of IE, click "auxiliary functions" in the "General" tab, and in the subsequent dialog box that appears, select "do not use the color specified on the Web page" in the format area and press "OK" to exit. Click the "color" button and select "use Windows color" in the color area. In the link area, use the color palette to set the colors of unused and accessed links to the same, click OK to exit.

6. Disable the automatic IE filling form

The auto-completion function in IE makes it easier for users to enter forms and WEB addresses, but it also brings potential leaks to users, especially for Internet users who access the Internet in Internet cafes or public places. To disable this function, you only need to open the Internet option window, and then click "auto complete" in the "content" tab, in the window that appears, cancel the options that apply the auto-completion function to. In this way, the browser will not automatically record the information for entering the form.
