Provisioning Services 7.6 Introduction to Mastery Series Xi.: Bulk import of target devices

This section describes in detail how to implement bulk import of target devices into PVS-corresponding sites and collections. You can import target device information from a file by importing the Target Device wizard. The target device information must first be saved as a .csv file before it can be imported into the device collection.

Note: You can create a. csv text file from a. txt file, NotePad.exe, or Excel. In the file, each target device corresponds to a row in the following format:

Devicename,mac-address,sitename,collectionname,description

where devicename= the name of the new target device, mac-address= the MAC address of the new device, such as 001122334455, 00-11-22-33-44-55, or 00:11:22:33:44:55.

1.1 edit the. csv file according to the actual situation

1.4 Specify the file to use when importing the target device, click "Next"

1.5 Tick the following three options and click "Next"

1.8 successfully imported the device and automatically applied the template, such as

1.9 Automatically created the site (London) and device collection (FC) and successfully imported the corresponding device
