PS A realistic style jukebox icon design ideas

Step 01

First sketch out the general idea. Here I draw the black gum, and then add the buttons, stylus and other elements. To make the sketch look more stereoscopic (without using perspective), I added rounded rectangles to make the icons look like open boxes.

Step 02

Scan the sketch and import it into PS. Select the Gradient tool to fill the background from dark to light-colored. Next, spend a 512x512 rectangle with a rounded corner and a radius of 90px. Press ALT to select a shape, create a new layer group, name icon, and now add a mask to the layer group

Step 03

Color selection is very important. The color must be delicate, the black glue uses the dark brown, the button uses the bright brown.

Step 04

With layer styles, we can add a lot of interesting effects. The black Glue section adds a linear gradient overlay, blending mode is simple color, and a bit of noise gradient is added. After you copy the layer, change the gradient mode to a solid color gradient, which adds a light reflection effect.

Step 05

Now you need to add some shadows that can be colored or linearly deepened by blending modes. Add light reflection and projection to the knob and stylus.

Step 06

For a more realistic shade effect, draw a gray rectangle over the black glue, add an outer glow effect, and the blending mode is linearly deepened, and then the opacity is adjusted.

Step 07

Material is also important to moderately change the saturation of the material. Then add a mask to the layer, and the blending mode is superimposed.

Step 08

Note that the work layer is ordered.

Step 09

You can now make detailed changes to the layer style until you are satisfied.

Step 10

Create a new layer, as for the top, add the inner glow and luster. Through the gloss effect, let the whole icon display the same hue.
