To make a good stamp, first understand what it looks like. this is a stamp I found on the internet. let's take a serious look at it first.

Notes:
I. size and position of the hole in the stamp
II. what text should there be?
Let's get started with the tutorial. first confirm that your software is Adobe Creative Suite 2, because here, we will explain some new CS2 features.
Here, we will make a 40mm X 30mm stamp. first open Illustrator, create a file, select the rectangle tool in the toolbar, and click in the canvas with the mouse, the "rectangle" option box is displayed, as shown in.

Click the "OK" button to get a rectangle of 40mm X 30mm. run the "View> reference line> create reference line" command to convert the image to a reference line. See

Select the oval tool in the toolbar and click on the canvas. The "oval" option box is displayed, as shown in.

Click the "OK" button to get a circle of 1mm X 1mm size, and fill the circle with black and no stroke. use the selection tool to align the center of the circle and the corner of the reference line, see

Press and hold the Alt key and use the selection tool to move the circle. you can copy the new circle and align the circle to the corner of other reference lines. The result is shown in.

Use the selection tool, select the two circles on both ends, and run the "object> hybrid> create" command to mix the two circles. The result is as follows:

Double-click the hybrid tool in the toolbox to bring up the "hybrid options" dialog box, as shown in. Now everyone understands what the above article on spatial distance is.

This method is used to mix the two circles at the lower end. after the two circles are mixed, select all the images and run the "object> extension" command to bring up the "extension" dialog box, as shown in

Click "OK". after the mixed Image is expanded, run the "object> Ungroup" command to scatter all circles.

Use the selection tool to select the two circles at the far left and run the "object> hybrid> create" command to mix the two circles. The result is as follows:

Double-click the hybrid tool in the toolbox to bring up the "hybrid options" dialog box, as shown in.

And so on. The right side of the circle is also mixed. select the two mixed graphs and run the "object> extension" command. in this case, all the graphs are extended, as shown in

Run the "View> reference line> lock reference line" command to unlock the reference line. in this case, the reference line can be selected and all circles and reference lines can be selected together, open the "Path Finder" template, and click "subtract from shape area.

Click the extend button to set the fill color of the image to White and the stroke to none. The result is shown in.

Run Ctrl/Command + C. at this time, we can minimize the window of Illustrator and open Photoshop.
Create a new file named "stamp". The size is 300 pixels × 400 pixels. you can fill the background with a color. run Ctrl/Command + V to bring up the "paste" dialog box, paste the content in Illustrator. here, if we use the CS2 software, we can select "smart object" for pasting. if it is a version earlier than CS2, you can use "pixels" to paste in.

Press Shift and Alt to scale to a proper size. press enter to confirm.

Click OK. The result is shown in.

You can change the color of the image to blue, execute the Ctrl/Command + C Command to minimize the Illustrator window, return to Photoshop, and then execute the Ctrl/Command + V Command to paste the content. you can select: pixel, and rotate a certain angle, in the press the Enter key to determine

Run the "filter> canvas stroke> Splash" command to create the postmark. I will not detail it here.
This is the final effect of the postmark.

It can be made into a series of stamps.

Here, the new feature "intelligent object" of CS2 is used. what is the purpose of this feature? Simply put, a smart object is a container in which raster or vector image data can be embedded. for example, image data in another Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator file. Embedded Data retains all of its original features and is completely editable.
