The first step: set up the workspace

Open Photoshop and create a new canvas 1024x680px size ...

Step two: Add a gradient background

Step three: Add iphone images

Now we're downloading the iphone pictures and then using the Photoshop Pen tool to create a selection.

Add an iphone image to your workspace. If the picture is too large, you can use the Photoshop shortcut to press ctrl+t or select Edit-Change-zoom in the menu bar to resize. To keep the picture size proportional you can hold down the SHIFT key while adjusting.

Fourth step: Add lawn

Download the lawn picture and open it in Photoshop.

Resize the picture to make sure the lawn is below the iphone layer. That way, the iphone will stand on the lawn.

Fifth step: Create a mask for the lawn

As you can see there are some hard corners in the lawn picture. What we're going to do is make them softer and more rounded.
