PS Extract Filter Usage tutorial

Photoshop extracts can isolate objects from their backgrounds, regardless of how subtle and complex the edges of the objects are, and use the extract command to achieve satisfactory results. The primary step is to mark out the edges of the object and populate the part you want to keep, you can preview it, and then decorate the extracted effect.

Adjust parameters:

A-edge high-light tool: This tool is used to draw edges of areas to be preserved.

B-Fill tool: Fills the area to be retained.

C Eraser Tool: Can erase the edge of the high light.

D-eyedropper Tool: Use this tool to draw the colors you want to keep when the force foreground is checked.

E-purge tool: Makes the mask transparent, and if you hold down the ALT key, the effect is reversed.

F-Edge modifier: cosmetic edge effect, if you hold down the SHIFT key to move edge pixels.

G-Zoom Tool: You can enlarge or shrink an image.

H-hand Tool: You can use this tool to move an image when it cannot be fully displayed.

Brush Size: Specifies the width of the edge high Light, eraser, erase, and edge modifier tools.

Highlights: You can select one or a custom highlight color.

padding: You can select one or customize a fill color.

Intelligent high-light display: Automatically adjust the size of the brush to draw the high light according to the edge characteristics, when the object and background have similar color or texture, check this option can greatly improve the quality of the extraction.

Smoothing: Smoothing the edges of an object.

Channel: Causes the high light to be based on the selections stored in the alpha channel.

Force foreground: Extracts areas in the highlight area that are similar to the forced foreground color.

Color: Specifies the force foreground color.

Display: You can choose whether to display the originals or show the results after the extraction from the list box on the right.

Display: You can choose how to display the extracted background from the list box on the right.

Display Highlights: Check this to show the edges of the paint to highlight the highlights.

Display fill: Check this to show the fill color inside the object.
