PS Hands-on teaching you to draw a realistic neon word effect

Neon effect is very cool feeling deep beauty, with PS create neon word effect is actually super simple. This tutorial, choose Pink as the light color, if you prefer blue or green, you can also try a little.

　　First step: Create a type layer

First of all, PS new size for 1400*525 pixel files, of course, the creation of file size and no strict requirements, appropriate. Background fills dark gray blue (#2b3036). Enter black text: NEON LIGHT, font myriad Pro, however, using a common Ariel or Helvetica font also works, then, slightly adjust the font size to make it beautiful.

Add two guides to the top and bottom edges of the text.

New layer, named: vertical, in the layer with the brush tool, draw all the vertical bar on the font, brush size 10 pixels. Hold down the SHIFT key to create the perfect line.

Similarly, create a new layer, named: Horizontal line. Draw all the horizontal lines and note that there is a gap between the joints that should be connected.

As for the curve part of the text, you can use the pen tool to draw a smooth path, and then click the Brush tool to set the size to 10 pixels and press ENTER.

Now you can remove the black text layer that you just started and get the following effect.

　　Step Two: Add horizontal light effect

Set the layer fill for the horizontal line layer to 0, copy the layer, get a horizontal line layer copy, and then set the layer style for the horizontal line layer, as shown in the following figure.

At this point, the results achieved are as follows:
