Last Saturday, when I was looking for inspiration on the dribble, I saw some beautiful metal effect icons from a Portuguese designer, so I decided to implement him in Photoshop.
So in this tutorial, I'm going to tell you how to make a nice metal button with a layer style.

1th Step
Open Photoshop to create a new document, I choose 2560x1440px because it's a nice HD wallpaper size, using the Oval tool to create a black circle
2nd Step
In creating a little circle, put it in the middle, and get his constituency
3rd Step
Select the layer of the circle, click on the layer > Layer Mask > Hide the selection, you will get a nice ring
4th step
Go to layer style, choose color overlay, color selection dark gray
5th step
Select Bevel and Emboss, the style is inner bevel, the method is smooth, depth is 550%, angle: Up, other settings are as follows, note the change of contour
6th step
Select inner Glow, use color dodge blending mode, opacity 75%, color is white, other settings are as follows
7th step
Select the shadow, multiply the bottom blending mode, the color is black, the other settings are as follows, do not use global light, angle is 90 degrees
8th Step
Create a black circle in the middle of the hoop, then add a slightly smaller one to make the button's middle part

Select the middle circle, enter the layer style, select the gradient overlay, the pattern is normal, the style is linear, the color is black to gray, and the other settings are as follows

Select the bevel and Emboss, the style is an inner bevel, the depth is 80%, and the other settings are as follows

Create a new layer, use the Pen tool, and make a selection like the one shown below

Open layer style, select gradient overlay, blend mode to filter, white as black, style linear, other settings below

This is the final result, now add your logo

Choose your logo, open the layer style, select the gradient overlay, blending mode is normal, the style is linear, the gradient color is set as follows, then select the bevel and Emboss, inner bevel, smooth,

Now to create a good background, select the background layer, open the filter, add noise, tick the Gaussian distribution, and other settings are as follows

Select Filter > Blur > Motion blur with an angle of 0 and a distance of 20 pixels

Open the layer style, select the gradient overlay, multiply the blending mode, the style is radial, angle is 90 degrees, other settings are as follows

As you can see, the whole process is super simple, we only use the layer style, on the system made amazing metal effect, this effect is amazing, if you want to make a car company logo,
