The effect of the picture is very vivid, the protagonist is a kitten, but the author in a personification method, the kitten portrayed as a brave sailor, alone in the sea to enjoy the fun of adventure.

Final effect

First, add the underwater scene:

1. Create a new 1500 x 1263px Document Set in Photoshop as follows.

2, open the underwater image. Use the Move tool (V) to drag onto a white canvas and place it in the lower half.

3. Use an adjustment layer, set to cut mask to reduce the saturation of the underwater scene. Layers > New Adjust layer > hue/saturation and decrease saturation value-79.

4, create a new color balance adjustment layer and change the middle adjustment value set the following figure.

5. Create a new color fill layer to reduce underwater visibility and add some depth. Layers > New Fill layers > Solid colors and select a cyan color (#2e595c). Reduce opacity by 50%.

6. Create a curve adjustment layer to darken the underwater scene. We want the main light to come from the top left. So to add a layer mask to the adjustment layer, use the black-colored soft brush to erase the selected part of the image below. The curve is shown below.

Second, add Sea:

1, open the picture of the sea. Use the Rectangular marquee tool (M) to select the middle part of the sea.
