PS teaches you to create a retro-styled vintage stamp.

Create a new document in PS, at random size (but note that it's good to show a complete picture), and the background color is filled with solid black. If the stamp is originally designed to be black, you can use a color overlay to change the stamp to white.

　　Ii. creating a sense of nostalgia

　　1, Fuzzy processing

Stamp layer Gaussian Blur 2 pixels (filter--> blur--> Gaussian Blur), fuzzy radius based on your picture size to determine, fuzzy will appear below the effect. Nostalgia always produces a vague, age-old feeling, which is what this step is all about. Of course, the effect of processing should not be too vague.

　　2, brush smear "mottled" effect

At this point, open your brush library, looking for a "decadent" feeling brush. Such brushes can be downloaded online, search keywords can be set to "grunge brush", a large number of foreign free brush can be downloaded.

3. Create a new layer on the stamp, set the foreground color to black, and start smearing with the "decadent" brush just selected. First, place a light on the surface of the "stamp" to ensure that the stamp retains a "mottled" sensation that is visible but slowly "eroded" by time. And then gently sweep the edges.

4, "Just right" is a very subjective description, that is, for your own needs, your preferences.

　　Third, add a background map

At this point, you need to create a group of these layers--"stamps." Add a nice background image below the stamp group. and change the blending mode of the stamp group to "linear Dodge (Add)".

At this point, if you can also open the stamp group to continue to decorate the stamp, such as adding more "mottled" brush.

　　Four, the final modification

1. Right-click the stamp group to select "Convert to Smart Object", at which point we will continue to modify this stamp. Add a filter with the enhanced edges in the filter gallery in the stamp. The purpose of this step is to make the stamp more brilliant, to make it brighter, and to distinguish it from the background.

2, continue to change the fill of the stamp to 80%, transparency to 70%, and then the size of the stamp smaller, so that the background can be more fully displayed.

3, at this time, found that the seal is not outstanding, is it? Don't change the stamp again, let's make some minor changes to the background picture.

I'm here to modify the exposure of the background map to reduce the exposure by 1.5. You can also use other methods, the goal is to let the picture reduce a brightness, so that the whole picture of the night to be more dense. or change the "curve" to adjust the light and shade of the picture.

4, in addition to the use of a beautiful picture, this stamp can also be displayed on a solid color. Here is a set of retro-colored plaid on which I made a display of the stamps:
