PS to create brushed stainless steel text

Brushed stainless steel is now in the advertising industry to do the signboard is a commonly used material, in addition to the use of daily decoration and furniture, many large companies will use the image of this material on the wall, the material is not high-grade, but the feeling is not low, this time we try to use PS to create the ultimate texture of the brushed stainless steel text.

1, new canvas, size 2880x1800 px, dot layer Panel "Create fill or adjust Layer (fourth button)", create a solid color fill layer, fill color: #1c1c1c, named Bg1.

2. Add the following layer style to the layer:

(Note: You'll need to create a new 9x9px blank document, remove the background, draw 3 3x3px square-shaped textures, and store them as textures (Edit > Define patterns))

3, create a new layer on the BG1 layer, named Bg2 fill Color #808080, add filters > Noise > Add noise, Quantity 10, Gaussian distribution, tick monochrome, change the layer overlay mode to "overlay". Now that the background is created, the local effect is as follows:

4, input a few words, both in English and Chinese can, for example I enter here is "Diamond Party" and "sketch Diamond Party", and the layout is arranged well. The text color is set to #494949. Behind the effect of light and light effect is consistent, here we turn the text layer into a curve (select the type layer > right > Convert to Shape), and merge into a shape layer (selected two shape layer >cmd+e merge), the layer named "text."

5, add the following layer style to the "type" layer (pattern fill can manually adjust the position, look more realistic)

A. Create a new 1000x1000px size canvas, create a new solid fill layer, fill the color #d2d2d2;

B. Apply add noise filter, the value is set to 30, Gaussian distribution, monochrome;

D.cmd+l adjusts the level of color to increase the contrast of the appropriate texture.

After applying the layer style, the text already has the most basic lighting effect and volume sense (you can click to open to view the larger picture to see more details):

5, select the "type" layer, press cmd+j copy "text" layer, renamed "Color Overlay", and clear the layer style, color fill mode changed to gradient fill, fill set as follows (the specific parameters do not write, we look at the almost set on the line), layer overlay mode to "multiply", fill 5%.

Now the monotonous text has a layer of mysterious rainbow Light effect as follows:

6, the same method of copying "color overlay layer", named "High Light", superimposed mode to: brightness, fill to: 60% change the fill style as follows:

Now has the metal texture and the high light effect, but a bit over, it doesn't matter, we continue to adjust the back.

7, copy "High light" layer, named "Soft Light", do not change the fill, directly to the superposition mode to soft light, fill to 50%, get the final result.
