Step 1
First, I drew a picture of him walking on the streets of London, and I chose the city because of its mysterious atmosphere and long history. He is looking for a mental patient, the one hidden in the corner.

Step 2
Then I separate all the colors. I will build from dark to light, and set the light source on the screen from the beginning. His lamp, the moon, and some unseen light, are about to illuminate the killer.

Step 3
I began to apply a wide range of "smear", and I wanted to study the way light shone on the face and clothes of Paolo. Notice that I painted a "very bright yellow lamp," so I used some strong orange. This is the effect created on the skin. And to leave some shadows, create darker, purple areas around his face.

Step 4
Here, I further modify the brightness of his face.

Step 5
Add light to the hand and there are two light sources including the moon. For the light, be aware that I replaced orange with blue. You can see the effect in the back of his ear. In addition, I further described his suspicious eyes.

Continue to paint the light part on his head and hands.

Now let's portray the killer. Let's start by doing the same thing we did to Paolo, imagining the second oil lamp outside my frame and illuminating him. Here you can see that I use orange on his hand. In addition, I quickly painted his shadow on the wall.
