PS7.0 Making wood engraving effect

When I went to the park with my girlfriend, I was attracted by a peddler who sold wood prints, and the peddler's wood prints were very beautiful. My girlfriend sighed: "If only I could make a wood print of her photos ..., in fact, with Photoshop7.0 can easily make beautiful wood engraving effect, do not believe you look at the following effect chart:

Not bad, actually make such a wood engraving is very simple, do not believe you follow me step by step:

1. Open the "beautiful material" picture in the package, wait a moment, we will treat this beautiful woman as the pattern in the wood engraving.

2. The most important feature of wood engraving is that the pattern must be clear lines, so we must first process the picture into a clear contour, the "Find edge" filter to achieve this function. Click Filter-style-find edge, and the processed picture looks like Figure 3:

3. Figure 3 has sketched out the outline of the image, but the details of the image are still more detailed, so it is necessary to further clear the image contour and remove the superfluous detail. View "channel" surface version, click "Red", "green", "blue" three channels, select a clear outline, the image level of the fewest channels, where the "green" channel, click CTRL + A to select the "green" channel all content, and press CTRL + C copy, and copy the contents of the paste into a new file.

4. Obviously, the contour of Figure 4 is much clearer than figure 3, but the detail is still more, which can seriously affect the effect of wood engraving, so next we have to find ways to further dispose of the extra details. Click Image-Adjust-tone separation, the Tone Separation dialog box appears, fill in the "Level" box 7, click "OK."

5. It can be seen that the color separation before and after the image of the effect is very different, the separation of the image more suitable for the production of wood engraving requirements. Next we use "levels" to continue to process the image residue details, click "Image-Adjust-levels", the "Level" dialog box, the specific parameters set see Figure 7.

6. So far, the details of the main body have been handled almost, but there are some noise outside the main body, we use the eraser tool to erase all the unwanted things around.

7. Use the rectangular marquee tool to select the image near the edge of the image, as shown in Figure 10:

8. Then use the "Ctrl+shift+i" to select the reverse, with the "delete" key to delete the contents of the marquee, and then use "ctrl+shift+i" again to reverse the election. As shown in Figure 11

9. Select "Edit-Stroke", the "Stroke" dialog box appears, enter 8 in width (pixel), color selected black, Figure 12.

10. After you finish, save the image as a PSD format for the next step as a texture load. (Must be saved as PSD format, only PSD format can be done as a texture load)

11. Open the "wood grain" material in the material package, the "wood grain" material is processed into the same pixel size as the image just now (400*300), and the steps are as follows: Ctrl + a All selected "wood grain" material, click "Edit-Definition pattern" to define the wood grain as a fill pattern, and then create a new 400* 300 pixels of the file, select the Paint Bucket tool, the fill type selected as fill "pattern", and then in the "Pattern" box to select the wood grain just defined, click on the new file fill on it, the effect of the image after filling as shown in Figure 13:

12. Click Filter-Texture-texture, the Texture dialog box appears, select load texture in the texture box, select bottom left in the light direction box, and click OK. (Note: When you select Load texture, a dialog box pops up asking you to select the file that you want to load as a texture, and you should choose to start with a picture of the beautiful silhouette that we're working with to load it as a texture.) ) as shown in Figure 14

13. To this, our wood engraving effect has been completed, it is very beautiful. Remember to make a picture of you and your female friend as a wood engraving and mount it, she (he) will be very like, hehe.
