Python standard library: Built-in functions ABS (x)

Source: Internet
Author: User

Returns the absolute value of a number.

The parameters can be integers or floating-point numbers. Assuming that the parameter is a complex number, the modulus of the plural is returned.

So the point of attention of the abs () function is that the plural is calculated differently.

Examples:

#正整数print (' ABS (1): ', ABS (1)) #负整数print (' Abs ( -1): ', ABS ( -1)) #负浮点数print (' Abs ( -10.5): ', ABS ( -10.5)) #复数print (' Abs (3+4j ): ', ABS (3+4J))

The output results are as follows:

ABS (1): 1

ABS (-1): 1

ABS (-10.5): 10.5

ABS (3+4J): 5.0

In this example. 1 , -1 is an integer, -10.5 is a floating-point number. 3+4j is a plural.
