python-Web page garbled and decode encode are invalid

On one page you see this: "Most Web sites do gzip compression for browsers that support gzip compression, and gzip-compressed pages can be processed in Python via gzip packages."

So the problem is that the content has been compressed, direct decode not, need to use gzip decompression. and then decode.

import gzip...html = gzip.decompress(response)        html = html.decode(‘gbk‘)

With gb2312 not, with GBK but can, because GBK contains gb2312, so you can know that the source of the Web page has exceeded the GB2312 encoding range of characters
