Fault symptom:

When using Lenovo G480 to configure the Conexant sound card for QQ voice chat or video chat, there is always a lot of noise and echo.


Cause analysis:


Tests show that this fault is related to the Conexant sound card settings.

Solution:

We only need to correctly set the parameters in Conexant's sound card control software "Smart Audio" to solve this problem.


Note: Please completely remove all the voice chat software on the machine (such as QQ and YY), and then follow the steps below.

Step 1: use the mouse to left click the start button, and in the pop-up Start Menu, use the mouse to left click the control panel project. In the pop-up window, use the mouse to left-click the "hardware and sound" item, for example:

 

 

Step 2: Use the mouse to left-click the "Smart Audio" project, for example:

 

 

Step 3: In the pop-up "Smart Audio" window, use the mouse to left-click the icon set by the microphone, for example:

 

 

Step 4: click the "Recording" icon on the left to enable the "reduce microphone noise" function, for example:

 

 

Click the "IP Voice Transfer" icon on the left to enable the "reduce speaker noise" and "Echo elimination" functions. Then, close the "Smart Audio" window, as shown in:

 

 

Step 5: log on to the voice chat software again. To ensure the setting effect of the previous steps, we need to configure the voice chat software. The most common QQ Software is used as an example: log on to QQ first, open a chat window at will, and click the inverted triangle icon on the left of the "voice chat" button, in the pop-up menu, use the mouse to left and click "Voice settings. Step 6: In the displayed window, click the "Windows default device" project under the "Sound Input" project, click "Conexant SmartAudio HD" on the left of the pop-up menu, for example:

 

 

 

Step 7: click "Windows Default devices" under "sound output", and click "Conexant SmartAudio HD" on the displayed menu, for example:

 

 

 

Step 8: use the mouse to left and click "OK" to complete the settings. Then, log out of QQ and log on to QQ again to solve the problems of noisy and echo in QQ voice chat.
