It is not uncommon to generate a QR code by using extensions on chrome. This extension can be implemented by using the QR code generator, and such extensions can appear in any search of Chrome Web store. However, it is rare to read the QR code directly on chrome. qreader is an extension that can read the QR code directly on chrome.
The usage is very simple. After the extension is installed, right-click the QR code image on the webpage and select "read QR code from image" to identify the QR code. If the website is identified, it will be opened directly in a new tab. If the recognized content is text, it will be displayed in a pop-up window, click OK to copy the recognized text to the clipboard.
This extension solves a very troublesome problem that we usually use QR codes. For example, if you see a QR code on a webpage and want to see what the QR code is, the common practice is to pull out a cell phone (a mobile phone that also supports QR code scanning)-scan. If it is a long URL and you want to open it on your computer, it will be hard to do, basically, only one letter can be entered manually in the browser.
With the qreader extension, you only need to right-click the QR code image on the webpage to identify it. The above steps are almost completely omitted, you do not need a cell phone that can recognize the QR code. So in my opinion, this is really a rare and excellent extension.
If the installation is successful, you can directly identify the following QR code:
