Qt on Android:android SDK installation

I previously introduced the installation of the QT on Android development environment under windows in the article "Getting Started with Qt 5.2 for Android in Windows", skipping the install of the Android SDK, and actually there are some friends who are having problems here. Here is a special introduction to the installation of the Android SDK.

The Android SDK can be downloaded here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html.

If you want to try Java development, you can choose ADT Bundle or Android Studio, or choose a separate SDK tool, see the callout in Figure 1.

Select Download the SDK Tools for Windows as shown in Figure 1. After the download is complete, find the executable program and double click to start installing SDK Tools. 2 is shown below:

There is nothing to say, please bash the "Next" button. Wow, pretty smart, the JDK installed on the computer was discovered by the SDK Tools Setup Wizard. 3 is shown below:

After selecting the user, the Installation wizard will make a good mention we can change the installation path, I changed to D:\ANDROID\ANDROID-SDK. 5 is shown below:

Hey, buddy, say you, go on, hit "Next". The wizard also lets us select the location of the SDK Tools that will be installed in the Start menu. 6 is shown below:

With the default on the line, click the "Install" button directly. See, 7 shows, the installation begins!

Please tap the "Next" button and the wizard says Android SDK Tools is already installed, and by default check the Start SDK Manager option for us. 9 shows, small kind of considerate.

This time, please gently click on the "Finish" button in Figure 9. Thus, the SDK Manager is running for the first time, it needs to download the SDK's description information online, please be patient and wait for a moment. 10 is shown below:

After the SDK Manager has updated the Online SDK description information, the SDK and tools that can be downloaded are listed. 11 is shown below:

If your computer space is not a problem, you can have all the SDK and tools are selected. If you want to customize it, go ahead and watch it. You can also open the SDK Manager to install it if you find a disadvantage in subsequent development. Here is a suggestion to use an Android virtual machine, select some pre-compiled images, such as ARM EABI v7a System image, and the SDK Platform is required for each API level; Documentaion for Android SDK Recommendations Choose a No, Sources for the Android SDK also recommends selecting one, and the Samples for SDK also recommends selecting one. In addition, please do not select the API 10 below, Qt does not support.

When you have selected the version of the SDK you want to install, click the "Install Packages" button in the lower right corner of Figure 11 to enter the license Agreement interface. 12 is shown below:

The license agreement must be accepted or nothing can be installed. Then click on the "Install" button, OK, to rest time, drink a cup of tea or smoke a cigarette, casually. Download the installation process, generally speaking will be very long (this is the author's experience, if you network good character and bursting may be faster). Installation procedure 13 shows the following:

The installation process is slow, there may be some situation in the middle, a popup box tells you that a package download timeout or failure, do not respond to it, turn off the line. Wait until the installation is finished, you can see similar to the interface shown in Figure 14, the installation is successful, the status of the column will become installed, the picture box out.

The Android SDK comes with the ADB tool, located at location 15:

Add the ADB folder "D:\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools" to the system environment variable Path. Open a command-line window, enter "ADB version", and you should see Figure 16:
