Here's how to configure AP mode.

FW150RM the configuration

FW150RM factory defaults to AP mode , support Plug and Play, no configuration can be used. Wired interface connects LAN, wireless client (such as notebook, WiFi handset, etc.) connect on FW150RM can connect to LAN. Because the FW150RM wireless network does not have wireless security set by default, illegal users can connect at will, it is recommended to make some necessary configuration for FW150RM. The specific configuration can follow the steps below.

Steps 1 : Connect to FW150RM . because FW150RM in AP mode by default does not open the DHCP server, can not automatically assign IP address to the computer, so need to configure the computer wireless network connection IP address, in order to log on the router's management interface. Set the computer wireless network connection IP address to 192.168.1.X (1≤x≤252), and the subnet mask is set to: 255.255.255.0, as shown in the following figure. When the settings are complete, click "OK" to take effect. Fw150rm default admin IP Address "192.168.1.253"

The FW150RM default SSID is fast_51f246 ("51F246" is the six-bit FW150RM wireless MAC address) and does not have wireless security set. Computers can connect to FW150RM via wired or wireless (as an example of XP system wireless connection to FW150RM), scan the wireless network in the environment, select the FW150RM wireless SSID, and click "Connect", as shown in the following image.

Steps 2 : in the browser input "192.168.1.253", enter the login username and password are admin, Open the FW150RM management interface, automatically pop-up "Setup Wizard" (You can also click the Admin Interface Menu "Setup Wizard") as shown in the following figure.

Steps 3: Click "Next" to start setting up the Working Mode Settings page, as shown in the following figure.

Steps 4: Select "AP", click "Next", Pop-up wireless Settings page, as shown in the following figure.

In the page shown above, you can set the SSID of the FW150RM (that is, the wireless network name). To prevent illegal users from rubbing the net, we recommend setting up wireless security. It is recommended to select "Wpa-psk/wpa2-psk" and set the PSK password (this example is abcdefgh).

Steps 5: Click "Next" to indicate that the device needs to be restarted, as shown in the following figure.

Click "Reboot", the router automatically restarts, Setup is complete.

Steps 6: After the wireless security settings are complete, the computer's wireless network connection will automatically disconnect, at this time need to reconnect FW150RM wireless network (in this case the SSID is fast_51f246), In the connection process, you need to enter FW150RM wireless PSK password (This example is abcdefgh), after the connection, as shown in the following figure.

Steps 7 : After the configuration is complete, please reset the wireless network connection IP address to the original configuration (usually automatically obtain the IP address), click "OK" to be effective to connect to the Internet normally, as shown in the following picture.

Precautions : FW150RM The default management IP address "192.168.1.253", you must set the LAN port IP address of FW150RM to an IP address that is not the same as all devices in the wired LAN. To prevent the occurrence of an IP address conflict (in general, no modification is required). Can be in the menu "Network Parameters"-"LAN port Settings", modify IP, click "Save", the router automatically restart. As shown in the following figure.
