Quickly make salt RPM packages

After modifying the salt source code, you want to quickly compile the RPM package, which can be based on the salt src.rpm package.

Pre-preparation

SALT-2014.7.1-1.EL7.SRC.RPM # Salt Source package and Spec file rpm-build.rpm # tool to compile rpm

Modify Code

RPM-IVH salt-2014.7.1-1.el7.src.rpm # will generate Rpmbuild directory under current directory ll rpmbuild/total 2drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 12:52 SOUR Cesdrwxr-xr-x 2 root root 12:51 specsll rpmbuild/sources/salt-2014.7.1.tar.gz # You can unzip it, then change the code and then compress it.

Making RPM Packages

RPMBUILD-BB Specs/salt.spec # Make a salt RPM package, which relies on the Python-devel package
