Currently, resource sharing is increasingly demanding. Therefore, it is urgent to connect all the computers in the unit to a single network. To connect the Liu Cun substation away from the headquarters of the Bureau to the LAN, we have a Quidway R2501 router, which uses two 64 K digital channels provided by one multi-access device, connect the microcomputer of the substation to the LAN at K rate. This section describes how to configure the Quidway R2501 router.
Quidway R2501 is a high-performance router launched by Huawei with two multi-protocol and asynchronous serial ports and one backup port. The two same/asynchronous serial ports can be connected to high-speed synchronous lines, you can also use Asynchronous dialing to connect a remote LAN to a branch. As needed, we have a Quidway R2501 router in our department and the remote Liu Cun. We use the Server Load balancer technology to achieve K rate connections through two 64 K digital channels, and configure the AUX port as a backup connection, once the microwave number fails, you can enable dial-up to implement the backup function.
The Local Area Network Address of the local area network is 10.138.184.0 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0), and the local area network port address of the router is 10.138.184.21. The remote LAN address is 10.138.185.192 subnet mask: 255.255.255.192), and the LAN port address of the router is 10.138.185.193.
Configure the Quidway R2501 Router
1. Configure the WAN interface of the router and configure the physical operation parameters of the Interface Based on the selected Wan transmission medium. You also need to configure the DDN parameter for the dial-up port, and then select the Link Layer Protocol encapsulated by the interface and the corresponding Working Parameters Based on the selected Wan type. 2. Configure the IP address or IPX network number of each router interface according to the subnet division.
3. Configure the forwarding route between interfaces. To enable the dynamic routing protocol, you also need to configure the working parameters of the relevant dynamic routing protocol.
4. If you have special security requirements, you need to configure the security of the router.
5. If there are special reliability requirements, you need to configure the reliability of the router.
There are two methods to set Quidway R2501. One is to use a microcomputer or terminal to configure the port through Quidway R2501, and the other is to use a Telnet command to configure the port. However, this method is used, you must have correctly configured the IP addresses of each router interface. In comparison, the first method is more universal, and its configuration method is as follows:
Connect the serial port 1 of the PC to the Console port of Quidway r2501. Create a Super Terminal in PC: Open the Startup Program program attachment hypertrm.exe file → enter the name of the Super Terminal to be created and select an icon → select the "connect directly to serial 1" option → set the communication port to set the terminal communication parameters: communication Rate: 9600bps, 8-Bit Data bit, 1-bit stop bit, no parity, no traffic control, terminal type VT100, binary transmission protocol (Xmodem/CRC ).
If the vro is powered on for the first time, the system automatically runs the Setup command to notify the user to configure the required parameters for the vro to start, including the vro host name, privileged user password, SNMP, IP address, IPX, bridge, and IP address of each port. The specific settings are as follows:
Enter host name [Quidway] configure vro name)
Enter enable password to configure the privileged user password)
Configure SNMP Network Management? [Yes] configuring network management)
Community string: public
Configure IP [yes] Configure IP)
Configure IPX [no] Configure IPX)
Configure Bridge [yes] configuration Bridge)
Configure interface Ethernet0 Configure the Ethernet port, and gradually enter the correct IP address and subnet mask of the network port)
Configure IPX on this interface? [No] configuring IPX network number)
Configure bridge on this interface? [Yes] configuring bridges)
Configure interface Serial? [No] configure Serial Port 1)
Set subnet interconnection Routing
The following uses the Quidway R2501 vro configuration of the Bureau's headquarters as an example to describe how to set a route for subnet interconnection between the two parties. In SETUP mode, the host name of the Quidway R2501 vro is set to Quidway ):
Enable, enter the password to enter the privileged Mode)
Config enters the configuration mode)
QuidwayConfig) # interface ethernet 0 enters the ethernet port configuration mode)
QuidwayConfig-if-Ethernet0) # ip address 10.138.184.21 255.255.255.0 configure the IP address of the Ethernet port for 10.138.184.21)
QuidwayConfig) # interface seria10 enters the serial port 0 Configuration Mode)
Quidway (Config-if-Serial0) # ip address 10.139.184.245 255.255.255.255.252 (configure the ip address 10.139.184.245 of seria10. Note: the IP address of the remote Quidway R2501 vroserserial 0 port is 10.139.184.246 255.255.255.252)

After the configuration modification is complete, run the write command. Otherwise, all the modifications will be lost after the system is restarted. The remote Quidway R2501 router also performs similar configuration. After the configuration is complete, it can be put into use.
Note: The default gateway of the Local Area Network workstation of the Local Area Network department should be set to 10.138.184.21, and the default gateway of the Local Area Network workstation should be set to 10.138.185.193.
