"Cannot open" error when starting Office Starter 2010 Program

Click

Startup picture (or "Start" > "Run" in Windows XP).

Type appwiz.cpl, and then press Enter.

Before proceeding further, make sure that you see Microsoft Office 2010 in the list of installed programs. Later, you will need to use this program to reinstall Office Starter 2010 on your computer.

Click Microsoft Office Starter 2010, and then click Uninstall (or delete in Windows XP). View the following image.

Click Yes and follow the instructions to uninstall Office Starter 2010. View the following image.

To reinstall Office Starter 2010, click Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office 2010. View the following image.

Click "Use". View the following image.

then click Open. This will reinstall Office Starter 2010. View the following image.

If the error continues to occur, you may need to perform a comprehensive repair of the computer to reinstall Microsoft Office Starter 2010. Before doing this, we recommend that you contact your computer manufacturer to discuss your choices.
