"Favorites Bar" is grayed out in IE8 and cannot be clicked to open

The browser's favorites are one of the most common features we use, in order to more easily open the Favorites page, in the IE8 browser, we can right-click in the blank of the toolbar, and then select the "Favorites Bar" on the toolbar to display the favorite page. However, in IE8 you may encounter the "Favorites bar" can not click on the check, the failure is as follows:

If this problem occurs in the Win7 system, you can resolve the problem by modifying the Group Policy.

Tip: Changing registry settings is risky and can cause system paralysis, and it is recommended that you back up the registry before you proceed

Press the Windows + R key to open "Run" and open Registry Editor in the input regedit.

When you expand the registry to this location hkey_local_machinesoftwarepoliciesmicrosoftinternet Explorer, delete the value of the Linksbar item directly below Internet Explorer.

After the deletion, reopen IE browser, the Favorites bar can be turned on display normally.
