Today encountered a wonderful problem: Win 7 system, Firefox Hostadmin plugin can not modify the host, prompted "Write Hosts file failed check permissions", there is definitely a problem with the permissions.

Baidu Search "This situation may be some anti-virus software found to change the hosts file you as unsafe behavior to change the Hosts file permissions"

Open the cmd command line with Administrator privileges and execute the following command: cacls%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts/e/g users:w

OK, Fix it.
