When you install SharePoint Server 2010, the first site that is created is a "NetBIOS name" site, and at this time, "My Site" (or "personal site") is also based on this NetBIOS name, for example, If your computer name is SP2010, the SharePoint site you create is http://sp2010, and my site is http://sp2010/my if you use a firewall (such as the ISA Server) to publish this web site to the Internet, http://sp2010 is a "relative" name that can be published to the internet and served me correctly. But my site is an absolute name that you must change if you want to publish the SharePoint site and my site to the Internet, even if you are publishing to the Internet or http://sp2010/my.
In the following example, change the host address of my site from "http://sp2010/my" to Http://sp2010.yinetsoft.com/Sites/Mysite, the main steps are as follows:
(1) Go to SharePoint 2010 Admin Center, and in application management → manage Web applications, create a Web application named Sp2010.yinetsoft.com and create a site for it.
(2) "Application management → create site collection", 1.
