Command name
DUMPE2FS-Displays EXT2/EXT3/EXT4 file system information.

DUMPE2FS command syntax
DUMPE2FS [-BFHIXV] [-o superblock=superblock ] [-o blocksize=blocksize ] device
The syntax looks more complicated, and you can see the following common command options and examples directly.

DUMPE2FS Command Description
Displays the Super block and block group information for the file system in device .

DUMPE2FS Common Command Options  

Options Describe
-B Print bad blocks in the file system
-O Infrequently used, when checking for severe damage to the file system, specify
-F Force display of all information, even if the DUMPE2FS is not recognized for some file system functional identifiers.
-I Displays the image file system information. device Specifies the path to the image file
-H Show only Super block information
-X Displays the number of grouped blocks in hexadecimal
-V Displays the version number of the DUMPE2FS and launches
