1 Case Description
Pyrosim is a pre-and post-FDS processing software. Describe the workflow of Pyrosim in a very simple case. This case calculation field contains an air inlet, an ambient outlet.
The case demonstrates the following:
- Create vents
- Increase tangent to show flow rate
- Post-processing operations
2 Computational Modeling 2.1 selection units
Using the menu View →Units →| SI, choose Metric International Unit.
2.2 Creating meshes
Using the menu Model → Edit Meshes, click the New button and use the default name.
Using the parameters in the diagram, create the 10x10x10 calculation field, the number of grids 20x20x20, click OK to confirm the operation.
2.3 Creating supply polygons
The supply face in the Pyrosim is equivalent to the inlet face in the CfD.
Click the menu Model→Edit surfaces, select the button Newin the popup dialog box, enter the name Air supply
Surface type Select type supply
Click the OK button to create the polygon.
In the Parameter Settings dialog box, under the Air Flow tab, set specify Velocity to 1m/s. As shown in.
Switch to particle injection tab, activate option Emit particles, and set insertion Interval, set its value to 1 s ,.
# #2.4 Create Import Vent
Using the menu model→new Vent, set the ID to Inletin the pop-up Dialog General tab, set up Surface for Air supply
Switch to the Geometry tab and set it as shown. Click the OK button to confirm the operation.
# #2.4 Creating Exit Vent
Using the menu model→new Vent, set the ID to exhauston the General tab of the Pop-up dialog box, set Surface to OPEN
Switch to the Geometry tab and set the parameters as shown.
Click the OK button to create the model. The model is created as shown.
# # 2.5 Creating Facets
The purpose of creating facets is to post-process observation data.
Select the menu output→slices, and make the settings as shown in the popup dialog box.
Click the OK button to confirm.
2.6 Creating simulation parameters
Select Menu fds→simulation Parameters, in the popup dialog box, set End time to Zero, click the button OK.
2.7 for calculation
Use the menu fds→run FDSto begin the calculation.
# #2.8 Calculation post-processing
Automatically opens the Smoke view when the calculation is complete, as shown in.
Right-click on the Smokeview and select load/unload→slice file→velocity→5mas shown in.
You can view the speed over time animation on a slice.
You can also view the motion of particles after the tracer particles are added.
