The main leader in open source movement, the most widely known (and most controversial) hacker, Eric Remont Eric Steven Raymond, for the first time in his 1999 edition of the famous anthology "Cathedral and Bazaar", which discussed software engineering methods, described this wonderful view:

As long as enough eye attention, you can let all software defects emerge.

In a more formal sense, that is:

As long as there are enough testers and co-developers, all software defects will be found in a very short time and can be easily solved.

He paid tribute to Linus by naming it with the name of Linus Torvalds, the father of open-source OS Linux (Linas Tovaz).

The simplest form of software code review is to present the code to a number of developers, and let us judge whether the code is qualified. Various studies and experiments have repeatedly verified that code reviews (in any form) are effective in discovering software bugs and security vulnerabilities, proving that code reviews are much better than software testing.

Take the Famous Heart Bleed (Heartbleed) bug as an example--a very superficial bug--2 in the very important open source software for more than a year and no one can find out, you know, millions of servers around the world are using OpenSSL software that contains this bug. But Raymond has a different opinion about the case of heart bleeding (Heartbleed), and he thinks that although OpenSSL is widely used, the fact that "no eyeball" takes care of its source code.

In the 2001 issue of the spirit of the hacker Ethics and Information Age (the Hacker ethic and the Spirit of th information Ages), Linus, in its preface to the book, defined another Linus law, "What is the motive for hacking?" --Linus Law (Linus ' S_law) ":

All human motives can be divided into three types of progressive-survival (survival), social life (social lives), entertainment (Entertainment).

The "hacker" is a person who has gone beyond the two stages of using a computer to survive. The computer itself is entertainment. Hackers believe that there is no higher power stage than this.
