1. Installing the Software

Step 1: Execute command install.packages ("Rjava")in R to install the Rjava package.

Step 2:eclipse is a Java program, so Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required to download and install the JRE from www.java.com first.

Step 3: Download Eclipse Classic from www.eclipse.org. Eclipse does not need to be installed and is available for decompression.

Step 4: Install the statet. Statet can be installed through eclipse:

• Start Eclipse (nonsense).
• Select "Help"-> "Install New Software" and select the "Available Software" tab in the dialog box that pops up.

2. Configuration
