Oracle Environment Preparation 1, system resources
Ü/tmp or can be used to do temporary space disk to have more than MB of space

ü256 MB of physical memory of physical RAM memory

$/usr/sbin/lsattr-e-L sys0-a Realmem

U at least twice times the swap space of physical memory

2. Operating system environment
OS condition:
View the host name with the following command:

$ uname-a

Operating system patches required by Oracle:
Iy22854,iy26778,iy28766,iy28949,iy29965,iy30150 and other taste
You can use the following command to check patch installation:



#/usr/sbin/instfix-a-IVK IY22854



Please take care of the patch, if the OS patch is not good, Oracle is not guaranteed to be available.


In addition, Oracle does not need to modify the core parameters for installation on AIX.
3. Installation media
Prepare the installation media for Oracle Version 9.2.0.1.0. If the media is not installed at hand,

Installation steps
1. Add Oracle Users and DBA groups

Complete the following operation with the root user.
To add Oracle users and Groups:
Can be done by hand command or "Smit security." Create the related directory, and change the appropriate permissions, and so on.

2, create the software installation point

3, to ensure that asynchronous Input Output (AIO) available.

Use the following command:

# LSDEV-CC AIO

If the output is "Available" then no problem, if it is "Defined", by using

# Smit Chaio

Change the ' state to is configured at System restart ' to ' Available '

4. Make sure the math library is already installed in the system.

Use the following command;

# lslpp-l BOS.ADT.LIBM

If it is not installed, you will also use the following command to install BOS.ADT.LIBM Fileset:

# Smit Install_latest

The AIX5L system also requires the following filesets:

# lslpp-l Bos.perf.perfstat

# lslpp-l Bos.perf.libperfstat

5, install JDK.

6. Set environment variable

Manually set display to Local:
Export display=172.18.0.1:0.0

Replace the 172.18.0.1 with your own local IP address.



Set Umask:

Set the "022" umask in Oracle User profile or. login file:

Umask 022

Verify that the environment variables are already in effect:

% env | More

Before starting Oui, you can use the following command to test to start a graphics environment:

8. Start Installation

Use the following command to hook up the CDROM:

# MOUNT-RV Cdrfs/dev/cd0/cdrom

Run the rootpre.sh script.

#/cdrom/rootpre.sh

% cd/tmp

%/cdrom/runinstaller

If you don't run the rootpre.sh script in advance, you'll be prompted to run rootpre.sh with root and then Y,
