Rationally use the XP password to reset the disk

What should I do if I forget my logon password for Windows XP? To avoid embarrassment, using the "forgot password wizard" to create a "Reset Password disk" is an effective method.

1. Create a "Password Reset disk"

Click Start> Control Panel. In the control panel window, double-click User Account and click the account name. In the displayed dialog box, click related tasks, click "block a forgotten password" to open the "forgot password wizard". Click the "Next" button to insert a blank, formatted floppy disk into the drive; click "Next", enter the account password of the current user, and then click "Next". The system starts to create a password to reset the disk, and then click "finish.

2. Use the "password to reset the disk"

If you are using a new Windows XP Logon interface, click the user name and enter the password when the welcome screen appears. If you enter the wrong password, the system displays "Do you remember the password ?" Click "Reset disk with password" to open the "Password Reset wizard" and click "Next, insert the created "Password Reset disk", click "Next", enter the new password and confirm the password, click "Next", and then click "finish. In this way, the new password replaces the old one.

If you use a traditional logon interface, enter the wrong password in the "password" column of the logon interface. The "Logon Failed" dialog box appears, click "reset" to use "Reset disk password" to set a new password. The steps are the same as above.
