The length method of NSString can accurately process international strings, such as strings containing Russian, Chinese, or Japanese characters, and strings using the Unicode international character standard. Processing these international strings in C is a headache, because one character may occupy more than one byte, which means strlen () such a function that calculates only the number of bytes will return an incorrect value.
