Recover data from winhex image hard disk and Image

Winhex image hard disk and ghost backup are completely different. Ghost can only be cloned or the normal data in the image partition is not cloned. Therefore, in data recovery applications, ghost does not work much for us, but the use of winhex backup (image) Hard Disk Data is different, winhex will copy data for each sector, below we will create a graphic tutorial on converting winhex hard disk image into an IMG file and cloning the hard disk;

Open winhex, for example:

I. clone a hard disk to an image file

First, describe the difference between the source and the target. The source is the hard disk to be cloned and the target is the backup disk of the original disk. Do not make a mistake between the two, which may cause serious data damage;

First, back up the image to the image file. After selecting the original disk, the image to the file on the right of the target appears:

Select the storage path and name the file. Generally, we use IMG as the suffix because it has a strong versatility, the following section describes how to back up other software and recover data from images;

Ii. Clone the hard disk to the hard disk

Here we do not use hard disks with the same capacity. The copying method is basically the same as that from images to files;

Note:

Select the option to copy the entire media. If it is from the hard disk to the hard disk, the start sector of the target disk starts from 0. You do not need to set this option to mirror the image to the file. Restore data from the image hard disk and Image

The size of the image file IMG is equal to the size of the image hard disk LBA. For example, if an 80 GB hard disk is to be mirrored, the size must be greater than 80 GB. Otherwise, the image file cannot be backed up. If other methods are used, the image can be compressed like ghost.

3. Select the image file and restore it to the target hard drive, as shown in figure
