Recovery System: Ghost System Configuration Overview

1. Install the Operating System

Find a boot disk for Windows XP SP2 and reinstall the system. Of course, you won't be a newbie so that your hard disk has only one partition. You must at least ensure that your hard disk has more than two partitions. In terms of partition File System Format, I recommend formatting the operating system partition to FAT32 format (Some people suggest formatting it to the NTFS file system format to prevent virus interference, however, if a problem occurs in the boot area, the NTFS format cannot be restored, so select FAT32 ).

2. Install the video card and Sound Card Driver

If your computer is bought through proper channels, there must be a disc containing the motherboard drive, video card drive, and audio card drive. If your computer is a second-hand or third-party mobile phone, no driver is found, so you can only search for it online. However, the advantage of Windows XP is that it can adapt to your hardware as much as possible without installing the driver. I would like to remind you that after installing the video card and sound card driver, you should restart your operating system to ensure that your driverProgramIt won't bother you.

3. Adjust the Display Effect and display screen refresh frequency

These tasks are all set in "display" in the "control panel". The computers used by current office families can meet the requirements of 1024*768 and 32-bit true color settings. If your monitor is LCD, you do not need to modify the display screen refresh frequency. The default value is 75Hz, please kindly ask him to change it for you), then you need to adjust it to the highest value, which is generally 85Hz, as shown in 1:

4. Modify system settings and optimize the system

On the "control panel", select "properties" to modify system settings:

4.1 In the "advanced" tab, select "performance" Settings:

(1) Select "Custom" in the "Visual Effects" tab. In the following options, you only need to select "use visual style on the window and button" and "use shadow for the icon label on the desktop" to achieve the effect before modification.

(2) In the "advanced" tab, select "Virtual Memory" and add virtual memory to your operating system based on the memory size and hard disk size of your computer. Generally, you can set the initial size to 1.5 times the actual memory, and the maximum size to 2 times (not too large ).

4.2 In the "advanced" tab, select "Start and fault recovery" Settings:

(1) If the office family does not need to install dual systems, you do not select "display time of the operating system List". In "display time of recovery options when needed, set it to 5 seconds.

The Office family decides that it is not the type of person who needs to handle system warnings. Therefore, they do not select "Write events to system logs" or "Send management alarms ".

4.3 disable System Restoration

In the "System Restore" tab, select "Disable System Restore on All Drives.

4.4 Disable Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop

If you are not the type of person who is often controlled by others, you can choose to "remote, remove "Allow Remote Assistance invitations from this computer" and "allow users to remotely connect to this computer ".

5. Use msconfig to change the startup Item

Select "allow" in the "Start" menu, enter "msconfig", and set the startup Item according to your preferences in the "Start" tab. Of course, the required items cannot be removed.
