The R & D center is located in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic. RedHat plans to invest $1.7 million in the R & D center and employ 200 employees. The R & D center is the newest of Redhat's series of international expansion initiatives. Last year it has established a wholly owned subsidiary in India and South America.
