To install Linux, we plan to directly use a virtual machine to install the system in Windows2003, which facilitates maintenance and saves time. Remove Virtual PC 5.2 from the Internet (note that virtual PC 2004 cannot be used, because Linux cannot be installed, only Ms products can be installed, Ms is really poisonous), install OK. Select New PC and complete it with the Wizard. The ISO file I downloaded for red linux 9.0 cannot pass test during installation, so it is OK to install it on the red Linux 8.0 disk.
Precautions during installation:
LINUX partition principles:
Swap is about 100 MB;
/Var to 3 ~ 5 GB;
/Usr to 3 ~ 5 GB;
/1 GB or more;
/Home can be larger;
/Backup is used as the standby magnetic zone.
After the installation, access the Windows 2003 file. Now I want to make the win file ISO, use 'Load image file' in the VPC, and then access the file in Linux. The related commands are as follows:
Modprobe CDROM
Modprobe ide-CD
Modprobe iso9660/dev/CDROM/mnt/CDROM
