Redhat 6 git server configuration (gitweb)

Gitweb is mainly used for source code browsing in web browser mode.

  1. gitweb Software InstallationFor details about the software repository, see redhat 6 git server configuration (http) 2. Configure the http serverEdit/etc/httpd/git. conf append

Alias /gitweb /var/www/gitweb<Directory /var/www/gitweb>        Options ExecCGI        AddHandler cgi-script cgi        DirectoryIndex gitweb.cgi</Directory>

  3. Prepare gitweb. cgi scripts and resources

cp -r /usr/share/gitweb /var/www/

  4. Add project rootCp/etc/gitweb. conf/var/www/gitweb. gitweb. cgi script, find gitweb. in the row where conf is located, set/etc/gitweb. change conf to/var/www/gitweb. conf edit/var/www/gitweb. in conf, remove the our $ projectroot comment and change it to the parent directory of your git repository. Here it is/var/www/git.

5. Restart the apache server

service httpd restart

 

You can access http from the following address: // servername/gitweb Note:If you want to display two sets of different gitweb services such as android and tizen code on a server, you can use different directories to manage the code in the same way.
