Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 (I) Installation of rhel5

Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 rhel5 is a good Linux Server version. Linux 2.6 kernel is used.

Rhel5 has two integrated desktop environments: GNOME andKDE, which one will be prompted during installation? I chose gnome here, which is relatively powerful.

There are a total of five installation disks. You can choose to install a graphical interface during the installation process, which is user-friendly. Same as Windows installation. It's easy. I will not talk about it here.

This article describes how to coexist with Windows:

general principles: install Windows operating system, and then installing rhel5, because rhel5 can find Windows boot, while Windows cannot find rhel5 .

1. install Windows in the operating system, leave an empty disk, for installation RedHat >

2. install RedHat according to the installation wizard.
Note:
1. select an empty disk that has been reserved in step 1 when installing the disk. If an empty disk has been formatted as an NTFS or FAT32 partition, delete it and format it as a partition recognized by Linux.
2. If other boot areas are selected in the installation wizard, select the Windows system partition and perform the next step.
