Red Hat has been working with intel for a long time. Both parties are committed to providing the most advanced performance, flexibility, and reliability for enterprise-level data centers. Looking back on the past 10 years, since Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 supports the x86 architecture, Red Hat and Intel have always been working together to promote the development of open source, it also raised computing and processing to a new level, and eventually made red hat the largest Linux provider in the x86 architecture.

Today, Intel has launched the Intel Xeon E5-2600 V2 Processor family. Red Hat Enterprise Linux immediately provides support for hardware running intel's new processor, coupled with a new world record from several industry-standard benchmarking tests, marking a new milestone for the cooperation between the two parties.

Specifically, Red Hat Enterprise Linux has obtained top-level benchmark test results on the following hardware platforms running the latest Intel Xeon processor:

Run the sap erp 6.0 application software enhanced Edition 5 dual-layer SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) standardized application software benchmarking test on the Cisco UCS B200 M3 blade server to get the highest score for dual-processor Linux.

The best baseline floating point computing performance score is obtained for input and output performance of all dual processors running the SPECfp_rate_base2006 benchmark on the Cisco UCS B200 M3 blade server.

Run SPECfp_base2006 benchmark on the Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX350 S8 server to obtain the best baseline floating point computing performance score.

The 2-processor runs the SPECint_rate_base2006 benchmark on the Huawei Tecal E9000 CH121 to obtain the optimal baseline integer computing performance score.

Run the spec20172013 benchmark on the IBM X3650 M5 server to get the best virtualization performance score.

Red Hat's lead in these benchmark tests is not surprising because both the Intel Xeon E5-2600 V2 Processor family and the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Operating System Support New mainstream hardware and software features, such:

Improves the memory architecture and memory bandwidth;

The physical cache and virtual storage architecture have been improved;

Lower power consumption.

We believe that the stable performance, the support for the latest features, and the combination of innovation make the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system a cross-physical, first Choice for demanding enterprise-level workloads running in virtualization and cloud environments. In addition, the industry is increasingly recognized for running standard benchmarks such as SPEC and TPC for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

In addition, at least half of SPEC CPU2006 and spec1__sc2010 benchmarks for all TPC-H in the past two years were tested using Red Hat Enterprise Linux. These benchmarks cover a wide range of computing workloads, from decision-making to database operations to high-performance integers, floating point computing to enterprise-level virtualization, it means that OEM build systems based on x86 architecture rely on leading enterprise-level Linux platforms in the industry to run their hardware, and the heavy workload in these benchmark environments is very easy to see.

As more and more servers are being deployed in the cloud environment, RedHat has always been committed to working with partners and ISVs (independent software vendors) extensive ecosystem to expand the reliability, flexibility, and performance of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system beyond the physical system. With support from key Red Hat partners including intel, Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform has been applied to more than 4000 computing servers and more than 13000 applications currently certified.
