RedhatLinux System Engineer (RHCE) Preparations

I have been working on RedHatLinux for four years and have experience in system management, user management, service management, and system recovery. I think I have more than enough experience in RHCELinux testing. Although I know more about the test content before the test, I found that almost all the content of the RHCE test was encountered in my actual work after I took the RH300 intensive class and completed the test, this surprised me. In general, the content of the certification test can be said to be so close to the actual application. Therefore, I think the RHCE test is true.

Prerequisites

Anyone who takes the RHCE test must have the following knowledge:

Practical Operation Experience of Red Hat Linux (other versions of Linux operating experience are also helpful for passing the test, but it is recommended that you use the latest Red Hat software ). In particular, the actual working experience of system recovery, such as system startup failure caused by partition problems, damage to system files, and service errors caused by incorrect operations.

Commands frequently used by system administrators, such as adding user accounts, controlling user access permissions, restricting services available to users, and setting parameters for user interfaces.

Basic command line structure and usage methods, such as checking system process status, maintaining running services, managing processes, starting or stopping a service, checking, maintaining, and managing log files. In addition, you need to know the optional parameters of Common commands.

Learn about the configuration files used by various services, the storage paths, and how to use these services, such as Samba, NFS, and other services that support access to non-Linux systems.

A deep understanding of the basic knowledge of TCP/IP network services provided by Linux for Unix and Windows customers. Including the storage path and configuration method of the network configuration file, security control methods related to network services, and how to enable these security controls to resist network intrusion and attacks.

Reconfigure and install the new kernel. This includes the software packages required during kernel re-compilation, common options for Kernel settings, and how to use system tools to change kernel configurations.

Basic user management, User Configuration File Settings, desktop settings, and parameter settings.

The most important and important part is the installation process of Red Hat Linux. Learn how to use DiskDruid or fdisk to partition hard disks and create basic partitions. Learn how much disk space and swap partitions are required for these partitions, how to select software packages, and how to create an Emergency Repair Disk.
