String type-Features
String is the simplest type. You can think of it as the same type as Memcached. A key corresponds to a value, and the operations supported on it are similar to those of Memcached. However, it provides more functions.
The string type is binary secure. It means that the redis string can contain any data, such as JPG images or serialized objects. From the internal implementation, the string can be regarded as a byte array, and the maximum value is 1 GB.
In addition, some strings can be processed by int type commands, such as incr. If only the string type is used, redis can be regarded as memcached with persistence features. Of course, redis still has a lot more operations on the string type than memcached.
The independent element types in list, set, and zset are all string elements.
