Reduce the impact of linuxswap on erlang programs-general Linux technology-Linux programming and kernel information. For more information, see the following. During the erlang stress test, the memory on my machine was 4 GB. When the erlang program used 2-3 GB memory, swapd started to work. The response of the erlang program slowed down significantly. But at this time, I actually have about 1 GB of physical memory. First try swapoff and shut down the swap, and the system runs smoothly. But when the physical memory is used up, my machine crashes. This is not very good. I found that I could solve the/proc/sys/vm/swappiness problem. The default value of/proc/sys/vm/swappiness is 50. If you set it to a small linux system, swap is not recommended. If you set it to swap, swap is recommended.
