To the CPU cooling, can be divided into two types of software and hardware. Because the speed of the CPU and slow peripheral devices such as hard disk, CD-ROM, keyboard, there is a poor rate, so that the CPU is not running busy large software, every moment there is a large number of relatively idle time. Software cooling is the use of software tools, when the CPU is relatively idle to execute a HLT machine instructions and the CPU into the energy-saving suspend mode, so that the CPU to reduce the energy consumption. (3) In the Select folder to place Shortcuts dialog box, click the Startup folder, and then click Next;

(4) in the name of the selected shortcut dialog box, enter the name of the program you want to add to the Startup menu, or use its default value of Cpuidle, and click Finish.

(5) Reboot the system. Cpuidle also includes a DOS version of the executable file is DOSIDLE.EXE, you can use it into the C:\DOS directory, and then add LH C:\DOS\DOSIDLE in Autoexec.bat file. EXE sentence, reboot the system.

Cpuidle software can generally reduce the temperature of the CPU 5~10℃, while it can improve the performance of the CPU. Because many CPU-included performance tuning options are set by default to disable at the factory, Cpuidle can activate these options.

2, Waterfall is a self-contained install software, it supports the CPU includes Pentium, high-energy Pentium, Pentium Ⅱ, K5, K6, K6-2, 5x86, 6x86, 6x86mx and so on. After loading the waterfall into the system, it will add a shortcut to the Start menu, which will automatically run every time you enter Windows, and a small icon will appear in the taskbar, which can be used to observe the running state of the waterfall, and to control the software by clicking on the icon. You can also use the right-click shortcut menu to open the waterfall Monitor to see how the waterfall is running. With the old cool software cpuidle compared to the waterfall program code to be much shorter, and cooling ability greatly stronger than Cpuidle, while the security can also be stronger, unlike cpuidle that will often occur restart, can not shut down and the phenomenon of panic. The waterfall can reduce the CPU temperature 30%~70% without affecting the CPU performance, thus greatly improve the working stability of the machine.
